POTD: Thumbs-up for the Steyr AUG Bullpup?

Thumbs-up for the Steyr AUG Bullpup? Or the StG 77 (Sturmgewehr 77) as it’s called in the Austrian Army.

The Steyr AUG uses a riflescope made by Swarovski. It has a 1.5x power magnification and is integrated into the receiver and there are some basic iron sights on top of the riflescope. You can also easily switch the barrel on the Steyr AUG.

Below we get an overview of the soldier’s daily trade at the 4:th Panzer Grenadier Brigade. I think we look at an ASCOD (Austrian Spanish Cooperation Development) AFV armed with a 30 mm Mauser MK 30/2 autocannon.

The exercise was called “Handwerk20” with the purpose to work with the interaction of the various weapon systems. Below you can see Leopard 2A4 Main Battle Tanks.

Did you know that credit for the first-ever color photograph taken goes to the mathematical physicist James Clerk Maxwell? At a lecture in 1861, he unveiled what is the first durable color photograph. Fast forward over 150 years, and we expect nothing but high-quality color photographs like the ones we’re looking at today.

All photos are taken by Gerald Grestenberger.
