The Sons of Liberty Gun Works Carbine Series Competition

Sons of Liberty Gun Works will be hosting a Carbine Series competition at The Ranch TX private shooting club located at Eagle Lake, Texas. The Carbine series is set to take place between November 7th through the 8th and will feature carbines only naturally.

Due to the situation surrounding COVID-19 Sons of Liberty Gun works were forced to postpone the match which was scheduled to take place earlier in the year. Luckily with restrictions gradually starting to loosen the match was able to be rescheduled for early November 2020.

The host of the event, The Ranch TX is a private gun club that offers a very large outdoor shooting range as well as training classes for its members. In addition to their range facilities the Ranch TX also frequently features 3 Gun competitions and other speciality competitions like the Carbine Series.

The match layout will consist of two days of shooting competition with a total of 12 stages to be shot. With the Ranch TX able to accommodate up to 1,000 yards of shooting distance the shooters should be prepared for almost anything. However, to even the odds and open up the competition a little bit, SOLGW is further dividing the match into several divisions including Tactical Optics, Limited, Heavy Metal Optics, Open, PCC and even a 22LR division for those who want to compete with a 22LR carbine.

The Match will be officially affiliated with the United Rifle League (USSL). The United Rifle League was established to bring competitors from different backgrounds to one league to compete on like stages with all rifles including AR platforms, Pistol Caliber Carbines, and 22 long rifles. This allows new shooters, shooters with pistol backgrounds, and juniors to get started in the shooting sports. The URL will include fast bay challenges for all rifles and longer range matches to include faster AR-15 calibres and AR-10 platforms.
