New Thermal Scanners from Pulsar

Looking for a thermal scanner or didn’t know that you needed one? There are many models on the market and if the Pulsar XM30S and Axion XQ38s feel too small and the Accolade 2 LRF XP50 Thermal Binoculars too big, there’s soon a remedy in the form of an updated version of the Pulsar Helion 2 XQ monocular models.

The body is brand new and made of magnesium. The sensor is high-spec with <40 mK 384х288 @ 17µm with a new fast aperture germanium lens (f1.0) which should allow for great heat signature detection. Whatever the new Helion 2 XQ detects, it will transfer to your eyes via a full-color HD AMOLED display, and you can also record .mp4 videos in 1024×760.

Two new models are available, the Helion 2 XQ38F with a magnification between 3-12 and the Helion 2 XQ50F with a magnification between 4.5-18.

Why do you need a thermal scanner? Even a hunter with the best thermal riflescope gets tired of scanning through the sight, so if your budget allows, a hand-held scanner is a welcome device. It’s a great tool to detect what’s around you, even in daylight. The detection range is up to 1800 meters or almost 2000 yards.
