The Tippmann Armory 9mm Gatling Gun has just received a huge upgrade in the way of an 8-monocore suppressor that is now available from Liberty Suppressors. The Gatling Gun Suppressor makes this already awesome looking 9mm Gatling gun look all that much better and now also has the benefit of making the entire rig more comfortable to shoot.
Quiet Times Eight! Liberty Suppressors Develops Gatling Gun Suppressor
This small marvel of silencer engineering and construction has 8 internal monocores that vent into the main chamber, giving each barrel an independent and fully functional suppressor module, while still taking full advantage of the large overall size.
In so doing, we have designed this in such a way that the large size of the silencer and 8 barrels are a positive feature, rather than being a problem to be solved.
This silencer uses the best materials for superior durability and performance, and the fact that each monocore takes only 1/8th the wear that a normal silencer would take means that service life is much higher than others, and cleaning is needed much less frequently.
- Caliber: 9×19 Parabellum
- Length added: 10.2″
- Diameter: 5.25″
- Material: Stainless steel, titanium, aluminum, and brass
- Weight added: 8lb (silencer) + 13lb (counterweight)
- Approximate dB level: 120dB (including first-round pop)
- Mount type: Integral, built onto a customer supplied host weapon
Earlier I mentioned that this was a huge upgrade and it seems like it is in more than one way. The entire assembly weighs a whopping 8lbs which negotiates the addition of a 13lb counterweight so that the entire gun doesn’t tip over on its nose. If you want to get into the Gatling gun suppressor game, you’ll need to shell out a cool $4,195 but that includes the suppressor, installation as well as a disassembly tool and counterweights. However, before that can happen, you’ll also need to supply your own host firearm as each suppressor is made to order. You can find your very own Tippmann Amory 9mm Gatling gun here.
I’m most curious about whether or not each barrel needs its own tax stamp or if the entire assembly is considered to be one suppressor.
